“We’ve used SANYO panels on our homes in Seattle and California. They are well-designed, which is important for an architect, and the bi-facial panels really let you get creative.” – Val (Seattle, WA)
The Val's Story
An architect and resident of Seattle, Washington, Val is a champion of environmental causes. The green roof installed in her 2-story home exemplifies her commitment to sustainable living, but powering a home of such size was becoming expensive. After researching the environmental and community benefits of solar energy, Val was ready to switch and needed an architecturally-minded solution.
The aesthetics of SANYO’s HIT solar panels attracted Val at first, and their high-efficiency sealed the deal. In January 2010, Val installed 6 standard HIT Power and 16 HIT Double bi-facial panels in 3 banks – on the 2nd floor roof, west end of the green roof, and south end of the 1st floor on a steel awning.
