What is a Rechargeable Battery?

It's the best kept secret in the battery world. You use them in your home, probably without realizing it. Do you have an electric toothbrush, a Dust Buster or a cellular phone? All of these products use rechargeable batteries. Every time you put them back in their cradle, they get recharged.

This means you can use these batteries over and over. These are not Primary batteries; they are, you guessed it, "Secondary" batteries. Now you can have regular size batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, and 9V) at home, which you can recharge yourself. You can use them in all those high-drain portable products like toys, personal stereos, cameras, radio control cars, etc. which really eat power!

Over 2.9 Billion batteries are thrown away every year in the USA. They seem small, but they add up. You can do something to help the environment and keep batteries out of our landfills. Use SANYO's RechargAcell® Batteries and Chargers!
