SANYO's vast research and development resources help create and improve battery technology for today's power-hungry products and include Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium batteries, fast charge control chips and modules and amorphous solar cells.

Manufacturing

With manufacturing facilities around the world, many SANYO batteries are produced and assembled in our 3 factories in Tijuana, Mexico. SANYO's headquarters is just minutes away in beautiful San Diego, California. This facility also houses our Engineering Center which provides customers with complete mechanical, electrical and systems engineering support.

Environmental Pledge

SANYO's creed states "we are dedicated to the earth and its people . . . dedicated to developing environmentally friendly energy products that improve everyday life." To that end, SANYO was instrumental in creating the Portable Rechargeable Battery Association (PRBA). This organization, made up of manufacturers, distributors and assemblers of rechargeable battery products, takes an active role in rechargeable issues worldwide. And to meet the immediate needs of rechargeable battery recycling in North America, PRBA established the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation. The RBRC is a non-profit public service organization, dedicated to the education and implementation of the Charge Up to Recycle! program.
